We process personal data only where necessary to provide this website, respond to enquiries or comply with legal obligations. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.

3. Website provision and hosting

This website is hosted through Netlify. The service provider is Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When the website is accessed, technically necessary data may be processed, including IP address, access date and time, requested page, referrer URL, browser type, operating system and technical access data. This data is used to provide the website securely and reliably.

Where Netlify acts as a processor, it processes hosting and service data on our behalf. Netlify states that its data-processing agreement is incorporated into its contractual terms. Further information is available in Netlify’s privacy and DPA information.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, reliable and user-friendly provision of the website.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your information to handle the enquiry. This may include your name, email address, phone number, content of the enquiry and other information you provide.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns pre-contractual measures or a contract. Otherwise the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.

Applications are additionally governed by our applicant privacy information.

5. Contact form

When you use the contact form, we process the data entered, in particular name, phone number, email address, requested service and message, solely to respond to your enquiry. Submitting the form is non-binding and does not itself conclude a contract.

The form is provided technically through Netlify Forms. Submitted data is stored in the Netlify dashboard and forwarded to us. Please do not enter sensitive data that is not necessary for the enquiry.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns pre-contractual measures or a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We generally delete enquiry data once the matter has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention duty or legitimate reason requires continued storage. If no contract results from the enquiry, deletion normally takes place no later than twelve months after the communication has ended.

6. Cookies, local storage and tracking

This website currently uses no analytics or marketing services and does not actively embed services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, external maps, videos or comparable tracking technologies.

To remember that you have acknowledged the privacy notice, the website stores a necessary entry locally in your browser under the key bielektro_privacy_notice_v2. It contains only the notice version and timestamp and is renewed after no more than 180 days. The legal basis is section 25(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If optional services are introduced in the future, they will remain blocked until any legally required consent has been obtained.

7. Recipients and service providers

We use technical service providers for hosting, domains, forms and email. Netlify, Inc. is a recipient of hosting and form data in particular. Service providers receive only the data required to provide the relevant service. Where they process data on our behalf, agreements required by Article 28 GDPR are used.

8. International transfers

Netlify may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EU or EEA. Netlify states that transfers from the EU are supported in particular by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards under Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law. Enquiries are deleted after completion unless legal or legitimate retention interests apply.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time for the future.

11. Right to complain

You may complain to a data-protection authority. The competent authority for North Rhine-Westphalia is:
